Can my own dentist treat me here while I am asleep?
Yes. That is the primary use of this suite. Your dentist brings you, uses the space, a board-certified anesthesiologist puts you to sleep, and your dentist performs the dentistry. Ask your dentist to call (703) 451-4500.
I need a dentist and I want to go to sleep. What do I do?
Book with Dulac Dental of Springfield. Dr. Davis, a board-certified anesthesiologist, puts you to sleep. Dr. Jason W. Dulac, DDS, does the dentistry. Call (703) 451-4500 or visit dulacdds.com. Details: I need a dentist.
I already have a dentist. Will you take over my care?
No. Your dentist can use this suite and still treat you. Send them the note on I already have a dentist, or ask the clinic to call them. The CTA is for your dentist to book the suite—not for you to switch offices.
If I am a referring dentist, am I handing the patient off?
No. You keep the patient and the treatment plan. This clinic provides the suite, the anesthesiologist, and the equipment. You do your own dentistry in this space. It is not a referral to a competing dentist.
What is the difference between IV sedation and general anesthesia?
IV sedation: medicine through an IV; you go to sleep while breathing on your own. General anesthesia: you are completely unconscious; a machine manages the airway. Which is used depends on health history, the case, and how long it will take. The anesthesiologist decides after screening—not the website.
Who provides the anesthesia?
Dr. Davis, a board-certified anesthesiologist. First name is not published on this site until the office supplies it.
Who does the dentistry?
If a referring dentist booked the suite, that dentist does the dentistry. If the patient is a Dulac Dental patient using the suite, Dr. Jason W. Dulac, DDS, does the dentistry after the patient is asleep.
Do I need a driver?
Yes. After IV sedation or general anesthesia you must have a responsible adult drive you home. Do not plan to drive yourself.
Is this a hospital?
No. It is a dedicated outpatient anesthesia suite inside the Springfield office. Some patients still belong in a hospital OR; medical-history screening is how that is decided.
Who is this for?
People who need to be asleep for dental treatment—including dental anxiety and patients (for example some patients on the autism spectrum) who need sedation for safety to complete an exam or treatment. Referring dentists whose patients need that option can use the suite rather than sending the case to a hospital or another dentist.
How do I schedule?
Call (703) 451-4500 or email drjasondulac@dulacdds.com. Referring dentists should mention that they want to use the suite and treat their own patient.
What does it cost? Do you take my insurance?
Fees and insurance participation are not listed here because we do not have verified public figures to publish. Call the office for current information.
Is this service actually available now?
Yes. The suite launched around December 2025. It is not a coming-soon offering.
Do you offer cleanings, implants, or Invisalign here?
Not on this site. This facility is IV sedation and general anesthesia in-office. General dental services are at Dulac Dental of Springfield.
Where are you, and when are you open?
6122 Brandon Ave, Springfield, VA 22150—next door to Dulac Dental of Springfield at 6124 Brandon Ave. Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm. Friday closed. Saturday and Sunday closed. Anesthesia suite days may be a subset of those hours—confirm when you call.
